CNC Machinist

Cordius is working with a global leader in welding and robot manipulation who provide bespoke solutions to a World Class Customer Base. They develop and produce highly precise mechanical products for the oil and gas, general engineering, nuclear, and defenceindustries, as well as the fabrication of wind turbines. They are a forward-thinking, progressive business that is growing due to expansion. In Leek, Staffordshire, they have an opportunity for an individual with a precision engineering background to jointheir machine shop team.

We are looking for both Manual & Conventional Machinists and CNC Milling Machinists. The successful applicant will have experience in setting and operating miller/milling machines.Their machining is working mainly with ferrous but some non-ferrous metals,working to high precision tolerances.

With an immediate start, this full-time, permanent role is available.

**Salary**:
Salary is £11 - £17 per hour depending on experience and shift choice.

Regular overtime available. Paid at time and a half after 45 hours.

**Working Pattern**:
Days and Nights available.

Days - Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm and Fridays 7:30am -4pm.

Nights - Monday - Thursday 6pm - 6am.

**Experience**:

- Be able to set and operate a CNC Miller/Milling machine.
- Work as part of a team or by themselves, setting and operating horizontal CNC machining centres.
- Be able to use Fanuc and or Heidenhain controls.
- Use precision measuring equipment.
- Be used to making and altering fixtures and jigs.
- Be forward thinking and have a positive approach to setting, fixturing, and machining and be able to make suggestions for improvements / decreasing machining time.
- Can follow instructions and work unsupervised.
- Can read and understand engineering drawings.
