Prospero Teaching are currently looking for an SEN Tutor to provide 1:1 support to a young person in East Ham, London.

**The Opportunity**

The young person has a diagnosis of ASD, Global Learning Delay, and a severe language disorder which impacts on his use and understanding of language. This young person is Non-Verbal.

The student is a looked after child who has been out of education for 6 months, so the tutor will be providing educational support at her care home until a suitable school placement is found.

Due to the nature of the students we provide support to, applicants must have a background and strong understanding of the above SEN.

**Position Details**:

- Location: East Ham, London (E6)
- Position: SEN Mentor
- Hours: 10 hours per week
- Timetable: Monday to Friday, 2 hours per day (ideally)
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: ongoing
- Minimum rate of pay: £25-30 per hour

**Experience, Training and Qualifications**:

- QTS or equivalent
- Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
- UK teaching experience
- Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box

**To be eligible for this role, the potential 1:1 Primary Outreach Tutor m ust**:

- Hold the right to work in the UK
- Provide two professional child-related references.
