**CNC Machinist**

**Salary up to £32K per year negotiable depending on experience**

**CNC MACHINIST WITH EXPERIENCE IN CNC TURNING AND MILLING**

Long established family run subcontract precision engineering company based in Biggleswade have a permanent vacancy for an experienced CNC Machinist with experience in CNC turning and CNC milling to join their team.

The Company runs 20 mainly twin spindle lathes and 3 Cincinnati milling machines.

**Responsibilities**:

- To set and run CNC twin spindle lathes and CNC milling machines using proven programs and tooling
- To be able to inspect finished components using industry standard measuring equipment
- A willingness to learn every aspect of the Company’s production methods and processes
- Work alongside the Production Supervisor and provide support where necessary

The Person:

- Experience on Cincinnati milling machines and Miyano lathes would be beneficial
- Experience of working in a subcontract machine shop
- Knowledge of Fanuc based programs
- Experience of working to ISO9001 standards
- Ability to work with little supervision, attention to detail.
- Ability to measure and check dimensions accurately
- Ability to communicate clearly and honestly
- Flexible approach with a ‘can do’ attitude

Working hours:
Day Shift
- Monday to Wed 8:00-4:30 45 min lunch
- Thursday 8:00-4:30 ½ hr lunch
- Friday 8:00-4:00 ½ hr lunch
- 15 min paid morning tea break

38 ¾ hour week

Overtime available most weeks paid at time and a half

The Package:
up to £32,000 negotiable dependent on experience

32 days holiday incl bank holidays
