This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a dynamic forward thinking team dedicated to meeting the mobility and postural needs of people in Cornwall.

As the Wheelchair Team Lead for Cornwall Wheelchair Service you will be part of a team of experienced therapists providing assessment, triage and prescription of specialist and bespoke equipment.

Located on the beautiful Southwest Peninsula Cornwall is a wonderful place to live with superb beaches and activities. Staff in our service regularly attend the National Posture and Mobility Group Conference and the European Seating Symposium. With Exeter and Plymouth both neighbouring Cornwall and London being only a 50 minute flight from Newquay you’re never far from a larger city and all the facilities they offer.

**Main duties of the job**:
Responsible for management and development of the Wheelchair Team. The role includes planning, co-ordination, delivery and evaluation of the wheelchair service.

Manage performance, quality and workforce within the Wheelchair service. Implement improvements that increase service effectiveness, efficiency and quality of care.

Work with team to deliver clinical and other performance outcomes, with patients at the heart of decision making.

Be responsible for developing and implementing a systematic approach to monitoring, review and evaluation of the Service.

Oversee supervision, education and training activity is taking place to ensure clinical competencies of staff.

Be able to undertake assessments and supervise staff who assess and prescribe, and have an understanding of technical solutions.
