**Salary Range**: £30-36,000 pro rata

**GOR**: There is genuine occupational requirement exists for the post-holder to be a Christian who assents to the Elim basis of faith in accordance with the Equality Act 2010

**Introduction**

Regents Theological College is amongst the foremost Pentecostal Bible Colleges in Europe, and one of the largest in the UK. Working with Chester University as validating partner, it is also the national training centre for the Elim Pentecostal Churches. It has been training people to serve in a range of Christian ministries, both in the church and wider community, for over 95 years.

As a college we have over 200 students and are currently offering undergraduate, postgraduate and some doctoral studies in Applied Theology and Performing Arts. We also run a successful non-university accredited training route.

The Regents campus is spectacularly located in a Victorian county house on the western slopes of the Malvern Hills, with views stretching across Herefordshire towards mid Wales. Regents Theological College welcomes students from many different countries, cultures and denominations and has an ambitious plan for growth and development in the months and years ahead.

**The Role**

Your role is to provide leadership and vision, with a strong focus on improving our academic standards and quality assurance processes. A key responsibility will be to maintain knowledge of sector developments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

You must have a robust approach to academic standards and a knowledge of the external environment and the frameworks governing quality assurance and academic governance.

You will need to develop strong relationships and effective partnerships both within and outside the college, including our validating partner and the various external quality regulators. You will be expected to be involved in several related projects in shaping the college’s future and realising its ambitions.

Duties include:

- Developing proactive relationships with relevant stakeholders, including our validating partner, OfS, QAA, HESA.
- Ensuring that processes are sustained to meet statutory and contractual requirements, and that the College academic regulatory framework follows that of the validating partner and is compliant with external agency requirements.
- Ensuring that the Partnership Action plan is completed and processed.
- Developing and delivering key strategies, with a particular focus on student experience, student progression, widening participation, academic quality, and standards.
- Assisting the Operations Director with the processes of forming a new legal entity.
- Preparing the documentation and staff team for a forthcoming QAA Quality Standards Review.
- Processing and reporting on the data from these returns and other sources, including student feedback.
- Preparing and briefing of academic staff for all associated reviews and OfS audits
- Completing the annual course monitoring reports for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programme Committees.
- Assisting the Chairs of the Academic Board, Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programme Committees, and Student staff liaison committee, and attending all meetings.
- Preparation of the yearly documentation for programme and module changes and ensuring these changes are processed effectively.
- Assisting the Postgraduate Academic Dean in gaining course validation for a revised course portfolio.
- Submitting annual documentation to the Independent Office of the Adjudicator and overseeing academic appeals, student complaints and the academic malpractice processes.
- Keep abreast of any changes in Higher Education policy and University HE Ssrategies and disseminate accordingly.
- Other duties and responsibilities appropriate and commensurate with the level of responsibility as determined by the Vice Principal.

Qualification
- A first degree or equivalent
- Theology degree

Knowledge and experience
- Experience in an academic administrative role in an HE provider
- Experience of HE regulatory matters
- An understanding and working knowledge of academic related matters in HE quality assurance.
- Experience in a senior academic administrative role in an Alternative HE provider
- Understanding of HE regulatory matters within an Alternative HE provider
- Excellent understanding and working knowledge of all aspects of academic related matters in HE quality assurance

- High level of numeracy with ability to use and interpret data and statistics
- Proven organisational and administrative skills
