You’ll launch your career in Environmental Safety with our customised training programme. Taking on a real job at a junior level, you'll gain invaluable hands-on experience while being mentored by highly skilled professionals. You’ll help shape how we do Environmental Safety, learning the ropes and making a real impact. You’ll also gain experience in team working, problem solving, and using human performance tools, with opportunities to work on plant operations and explore other areas of interest. **What You’ll Be Doing** Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to see how other departments within the power station function, expanding your understanding of the broader industry. Past students have worked on projects improving waste management processes for non-radioactive waste, performed routine monitoring and prepared regulatory reports for sea water usage and oil accountancy, collected and managed data for UK Emissions trading scheme compliance, and supported calibration and quality control of lab equipment. **Your Work Location** You’ll be based on site at one of the #Heysham 1 and 2 Power Stations, within the Environmental Safety Group. **Who You Are** Our selection process is designed to bring out the best in you.
