**Company**:
This company is an Engineering business based in Peterborough. 25 years ago they felt that they could improve the training being provided in the local area so opened their own training facility. This is where they now train all of their apprentices, fully in-house.
**The Role**:
As a Welding Tutor you will have the opportunity to run your own course and train groups of up to 6 apprentices how to weld. There is no previous teaching experience or qualifications needed - this will all be provided.
**Day to day activity will include**:

- Teaching groups of up to 6 apprentice welders.
- Curriculum development - helping to improve the skills and theory being taught.
- Identifying needs for equipment and ordering it within budget.
- Advise and guide employers in relation to apprenticeship pathways, qualifications and unit selections.
- Develop lesson plans and schemes of work.

**What is required**:

- Skilled with MIG/TIG/MMA welding.
- Experience with pipe welding.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to teach and train young apprentices.
