This is an exciting opportunity for a leading professional to join our Mental Health team as a Senior Social Work Practitioner - Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP).

The Hub will consist of a Team Manager and two Hub AMHPs who work 9am-5pm and eight Hub AMHPs who work on a rolling rota, over a 24hr period. Shifts will typically be early, late and night.

**Experience and Skills**

**Key Skills**:
- Ability to work proactively as a member of the team to make an accurate assessment of needs and negotiate and implement effective plans and outcomes, whilst prioritising workload and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrable evidence of leadership skills when working in partnership with people, carers, colleagues, and a variety of external agencies in complex situations to meet people's outcomes.
- Expertise of managing situations with complex and competing risks, utilising a risk enablement approach, and using evidence-based practice. Solution focussed with the ability to analyse complex situations and provide forward thinking strategies and solutionsthat consider a variety of possible strength-based solutions, balancing risks, resources and desired outcomes.
- Expertise in leading on safeguarding enquiries.
- Highly developed communication skills to influence in a multi-disciplinary setting and communicate clearly and effectively to explain complicated information to a wide range of people and negotiate and persuade others to adopt a particular course of actionthat they may not otherwise wish to take.
- Able to model and use social work skills in practice, supervision, mentoring and leadership to develop and maintain an environment in which professionally curiosity, critical reflection and analysis is valued, staff are supported their find own solutionsand practice capability is developed.
**Qualifications and/or experience**:

- A Degree in Social Work or a recognised equivalent Social Work qualification e.g., Diploma in Social Work.
- A recognised post qualifying award in Social Work (e.g., Practice Educator, Best Interest Assessor and/or Approved Mental Health Professional) or demonstrable evidence of continuous professional development at a similar level.
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Experience of undertaking assessments in complex situations and social work intervention planning, implementation, and review by means of creative and pragmatic solutions.
- Excellent, up-to-date working knowledge of relevant legislation e.g., Care Act (2014), Mental Capacity Act (2005) etc.
- Requirement for BIA qualified practitioners to contribute to BIA service delivery, AMHP qualified practitioners to contribute to AMHP service delivery.
