**Residential Support Worker**

**Location**: Croydon (On-site)

**Salary**: £30,600 (including sleep-in payments)

**Hours**: 42 hours per week (two days on, three days off, on a five-week rolling rota). Staff start at **10am on Day 1**, sleep in overnight, and finish at **10pm on Day 2**.

**The Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work as part of a supportive team to provide high-quality care for children with complex needs.
- Complete detailed and accurate records to a high standard.
- Manage challenging behaviours and act as a positive role model.
- Build loving and trusting relationships, supporting children’s emotional and social development.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and supportive environment in line with policies and procedures.
- Advocate for children and contribute to their care planning and progress.

**Requirements**:

- Emotional resilience and the ability to manage challenging behaviours.
- Willingness to complete the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within two years of starting the role (if not already held).
- Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to help create a stable, supportive, and family-like environment that respects children’s health, culture, religion, identity, and lifestyle.
- Commitment to following policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
