We’re recruiting for an enthusiastic and organised **Tool Hire Driver** to join our team in **Jewson Leatherhead**

This role will see you assisting customers in branch with **Tool Hire**, working alongside our Tool Hire Supervisor and driving to different sites to collect/deliver different tools and machinery using our 3.5t delivery vehicles, towing a trailer if required. You will also be responsible for both maintenance and repair of our equipment, where we will provide full training for to help you in your role

This role is working with **Jewson** as part of the **STARK** Group. We are a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe. We connect suppliers of heavy building materials with the professional craftsmen who build, renovate, and maintain the cities of tomorrow.
- **Is this role right for me?**_
- **A full, clean manual driving license, held for a minimum of 1 year is essential**:

- Customer service experience
- Experience in a delivery driving role with a 3.5t vehicle
- A mechanical background would be ideal, with experience working with/maintaining tools and machinery but full training will be provided

**Hours of work**: Monday to Friday 7:30am-17:00pm and every 2nd Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm

- **What will I be doing?**_

As a **Tool Hire Driver**, your role will be essential to keeping our tool hire department running smoothly. This role has a strong focus on the delivery and collection of hire equipment using our delivery vehicles while providing top class customer service and performing general tool maintenance in the workshop. In order to support our customers and deliver a great service you will;
- Get to know our product lines and services - with full training from us
- Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of our tool hire equipment in the workshop
- Process customer orders and keep customers updated throughout the process
- Organise tool hire delivery and collection using our 3.5t delivery vehicles and trailers
- Following H&S procedures; loading and unloading safely and satisfactorily
- Ensuring any technical problems, maintenance faults and repairs are dealt with efficiently
- Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work
- General Administration - maintenance reports and sales/hire order processing
