**The Company**: Hydro Cleansing are currently looking for an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join our vibrant team in the Croydon area. Hydro Cleansing Ltd (HCL) a leading provider of Environmental Services in London and the South East, offering a fast, responsive and highly effective service including CCTV drainage inspection and surveying, drain and sewer maintenance, waste management, confined space and emergency response. Please find out more at: **Purpose of the Job** Working as part of the Accounts team, the Accounts Assistant will take on a varied role, being responsible for purchase ledger and also preparing and maintaining other financial records. You will work alongside a team of credit controllers and senior accounts staff to ensure the smooth running of the accounts department to continually improve Hydro Cleansing’s financial position. **Role/ Responsibilities** **Purchase Ledger** - Ensuring all purchases are supported by authorised purchase orders. - All invoices are to be entered onto Sage within 3 days of receipt. **Other duties could include**: - processing the pre-invoices documents to Raise invoices on the system - Processing the credit note request sheet > raising them and issuing them - Processing invoices onto Customers invoices Portal (instead of issuing them PDF) - Answering sales ledger queries (externally and internally) - Banking support - see reference payment used by customer meaning matrix is used - Ad-hoc administrative duties as and when necessary **Experienced required**: - Experience within similar position (sales ledger entries, credit control and purchase ledger) - SAGE 50 Accounts **Desired Qualification**: - AAT - Credit control certification or - Studying for a similar accounting qualification This may be a suitable career for you if you have had previous experience working as an Accounts Assistant, Accounts Clerk or any other relatable role. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year **Benefits**: - Company pension Schedule: - Monday to Friday **Experience**: - Accounting: 5 years (preferred)
