**Our Role**
As a new main laying Operative/Team, you will be working on the Affinity Water developer services contract. Working to meet the needs of the client in the most cost-effective manner, whilst working with your team. You will provide technical expertise, experience, and work within a team to deliver a first-class service to our customers.
You will be competent on working in Water Networks. You will be able to engineer solutions on site and focus your teams on completing work right first time.
You will provide support to ensure that the company’s work is effectively completed through communication with internal and external customers, as well as the management of the business and client database systems.
**Key Responsibilities**
We are looking for someone who has knowledge and experience of developer services contracts
- Be capable of excavating and installing new mains, new connections, services & water meters. Will be required to use CAT and Genny
- Have good knowledge of site safety and site set ups with the public, team members welfare being essential
- Make sure all work is carried out according to safe working methods and best practise procedures
- Ensure that all activities associated with the job are carried out according to laid down procedures where possible. Identify areas that can be improved and report to Team Leader/Site Agent
- Liaise with our support services and streetworks team to ensure FPN & Section 74 liabilities are managed, focussing on a right first-time attitude
- Ensure that daily vehicle checks are carried out - to ensure cleanliness and tidiness of vehicle and the safety of the driver and passenger
- Promote positive company image whilst at work (via wearing of company PPE/clothing, attitude, and site cleanliness)
- Adhere to time keeping
- Maintain the highest customer standards whilst on site
- Comply with all health & Safety and water environmental standards
**Experience and Qualifications**
- Relevant qualifications in relation to the work being carried out i.e., NRWSA at supervisory level
- Good Health and safety knowledge IOSH beneficial (not essential)
- Firm understanding of “right first time”
- Excellent communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Shea Water
- EUSR Blue Card
- Avoidance of underground utilities
