General information:Hitachi has an exciting opportunity to join our Power Consulting business within Grid Integration as a Junior Business Controller. As the Business Controller, you'll be supporting the UK & SE Power Consulting Unit Management teams. Working closely with local teams to optimize financial performance within Power Consulting UK & SE. You'll be required to perform accurate reporting and analysis to support decision making. This role offers support in gaining your qualifications and ensures you are given the best opportunity to grow and develop within finance.Responsibilities:Responsible for UK and SE Power Consulting P/L and Balance Sheet. Prepare financial analysis: revenue and cost of the project, profit and loss, balance sheet, inventory and profitability (NWC), cost center revision. Coordinate with UK and SE Power Consulting Unit Managers. Ensure financial control, reporting to GPG Controller. Ensure timely and efficient communication. Ensure the reliability of the closing/forecasting. Ensure high quality of financial data and business information in line with defined standards and financial closing schedules. Complete all month end activities, develop and post monthly journal entries, along with any adjustments. Sign off accounts on quarterly basis. Support UK and SE external and internal Audits. Comply with Internal Control measures in all financial activities. Pulling records for auditors and creating reports as needed. Book orders into ERP system, raise invoices, manage orders/projects in ERP. Support Credit Control team in cash collection. Forecast all projects in UK and SE, control costs and ensure revenue is recognized correctly according to IFRS. Your background:Part qualifications within Finance or similar Excellent team building skills and communications skills. Knowledge of Excel Knowledge of financial accounting and reporting processes. Fluent in English both written and spoken Good analytical skills
