We are looking for a qualified enthusiastic Early Years Educator.

Safeguarding is pivotal at Little Stars and everyone involved has a high regard to their duty of care.

Our setting:
We already have 2 well established settings ( Mancetter & Tamworth)

We are now currently in the process of opening a up 3rd setting in central Atherstone. This provision will be term time only, (inline with Warwickshire term dates) for 2, 3 & 4 year olds.

Our position:
We are looking for a qualified level 3 educator, to work 40 hours a week over 5 days, from 7.45am - 4.15pm, within our 2-4 year old room. Our starting salary meets minimum requirements within the first 12 weeks, after a successful 12 week appraisal, salary is then performance related.

Desirably, you will hold an enhanced DBS and be part of the update service, hold valid paediatric first aid and food hygiene certificates and have attended safeguarding level 1 training. Has an understanding of the curiosity approach, in the moment planning and Famly. Training will be provided throughout the probationary 12 week period, if not.

Must be passionate and enthusiastic about providing children with the love and respect that they deserve.

Has the ability to be an explorer, an investigator, a scientist and an adventurer all in one day.

Thrives for promoting children’s all round development including mental wellbeing.

Has a childlike playfulness and is willing to do things like, getting down on the floor to be at child’s level, jumping aboard a pirate ship, holding a conversation on a banana phone, starting a game of tig, and having a good go at mimicking every animal noise on the planet.

Has a warm smiling face that can make every child feel special.

Is able to spark curiosity and awe and wonder in every day play.

Knows the difference between a provocation and an invitation and can’t wait to set them up each day.

Knows who Julia Donaldson, Roald Dahl and Eric Carle are.

Has an impressive nursery rhyme repertoire.

Has a love of the outdoors come rain or shine.

Is able to enhance children’s play agendas, in the moment. (We don’t do any forward planning here at Little Stars).

Is willing to sing out of tune in front a crowd.

Is able to have fun in the workplace, and expects laughter to be a large part of the day.

Is fun and creative and has imagination that takes children to the moon and back.

Is prepared to feel special and important to many little people and their families by having excellent partnership with parents and carers.

Above all you must be an excellent team player with effective communications skills, can show initiative in all situations and work in your Little Stars family to provide the best care and education around.
