The other sessions are aligned with the trust’s clinical service needs, which for some applicants may precisely match their specialty interest.
**Examples from previous ST3+s are**: a service role in acute medicine, with elective sessions in COE, a service role in the Respiratory department with elective sessions in cardiology, a service role in COE with elective sessions in Respiratory, and a service & elective role both within the renal department.

On-call duties will include liaising with GP colleagues with regards to unselected medical intake patients and those that are generated by the Emergency Department to ensure the appropriate, high quality delivery of care.
