Carer progression within the company. **The Role** We are providing individuals with practical and emotional care, enabling them to lead as ordinary life as they can achieve. To help them achieve this you will need to be flexible as you are required to work shifts including bank holidays, weekends and potentialsleep ins. If your best traits are positivity, friendliness and innovation then this job is for you **Main duties and responsibilities**: To participate in the day to day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment. To maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families and others whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality. To support service users with the preparation of Meals, Laundry duties, cleaning and social events. To maintain accurate notes and records as and when required. To work as part of a team to provide high quality care. Providing service at St Annes & overseeing our small supported Living Service Ivy House in Barnet **The Service** Ivy House is a Supported Living Service located in Barnet for people with Learning Disabilities. The service has capacity for 7 people (currently 5) with their own individual rooms and shared facilities in the kitchen and the bathroom. People are supportedto develop their daily living skills such as shopping, budgeting, attending health appointments and social events. Ivy House is located close to Barnet High Street which has a number of high street shops and has good transport links with buses and the undergroundtrain (High Barnet Station - Northern Line). The service is also located close to a park and a local museum which people can visit. **Personal Characteristics** Diploma in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards one. Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and/or mental health issues. The ability to keep calm under pressure. The confidence to work alone or as part of a team.
