**About Wiser Recycling**

Wiser Recycling is a large independent processor of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) in the East and North of England. Our focus is to recycle electrical wastes regularly, reliably and responsibly. This includes processing TVs, fridges, computers and fluorescent tubes into valuable materials.

As Yard Team Leader you will ensure process activities are properly organised and efficient, ensure colleagues are operating effectively and safely, maintain safe practices in accord with procedures and provide feedback for improvement, improve training and knowledge of processes to all staff, ensure safe conditions of operation and good housekeeping.

**Job description**
- Be involved with the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Ensure new equipment has full risk assessment, SOP established with operators trained accordingly including the associated training documentation completed.
- Ensure the standards of health and safety, COSHH, productivity, administration, housekeeping and hygiene are maintained to the company’s standards.
- Liaison, co-ordination and providing a positive attitude to visitors, including Environment Agency, Landlords, Insurers, Health and Safety Executive, Customers and Auditors.
- Ensure that input and output records of wastes are completed accurately and to legal requirements and company procedures.
- Leading staff to maximise productivity, specifically the turnaround time of incoming and outgoing loads.
- Communicate and report problems and successes with line management.

**Requirements**:

- **Skills & Knowledge**_
- Flexible and adaptable - able to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities whilst staying calm under pressure.
- Able to keep accurate records and produce clear and legible reports of processes and teams.
- **Experience**_
- Minimum of 3 years Waste Recycling experience, or equivalent eg; relevant Warehouse/Production.
- Some supervisor/team leader experience would be beneficial.
- Able to travel on occasion to other Wiser sites for training and meetings.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and safe systems of work.
- **Qualifications**_
- Willingness to work towards a WAMITAB qualification.
- Strives to enhance own abilities to learn new things and develop themselves both with company support and individual learning.
- Demonstrates the ability to “self-motivate”.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £26,769.60 per year
