**Job Overview**
Watermead Rose Care Home are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Housekeeper to join their team in a dynamic hospitality environment. The Head Housekeeper will be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping department, ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role is crucial in providing an exceptional experience for our guests while managing a team of housekeepers effectively.

**Duties**
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high performance.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to optimise productivity and maintain high standards of hygiene.
- Address guest inquiries or complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and front office, to ensure seamless operations within the hotel.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in a housekeeping role within the hospitality or hotel industry is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and staff alike.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally.

Pay: £13.65 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
