Interim Accounts Assistant

**Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm**
**Job Summary**:
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the processing of purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Arrange supplier payments in line with agreed terms
- Perform supplier statement reconciliations and follow up on discrepancies
- Support the month-end closure process, including accruals and prepayments
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by the finance team
- Assist in resolving finance-related queries from internal teams and external stakeholders
- Provide cover for the Finance team during periods of absence or peak workload
- Offer general support across other accounts functions as required (e.g. bank reconciliations, cash allocation, expense processing)
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Essential: _
- Part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or similar qualification) or AAT qualified
- Previous experience in a similar accounts assistant role
- Strong understanding of core accounting processes and principles
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g, Xero) and MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Demonstrable ability to meet tight deadlines with mínimal supervision
- Recent DBS check completed
- Right to work in the UK
