We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team and provide vital care and support to individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and those in residential care settings. This role requires an individual who is patient, empathetic, and committed to improving the lives of those they support.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide personal care and assistance to individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and other related conditions, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Support individuals in achieving their daily goals, promoting independence and well-being.
- Assist with meal preparation, medication management, and any required physical or emotional support.
- Support individuals in accessing the community, engaging in recreational activities, and developing social skills.
- Monitor and document the progress of each individual, reporting any significant changes to the relevant team members.
- Promote a respectful, safe, and inclusive environment for all individuals.
- Ensure the implementation of care plans and tailor support to meet individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals, including healthcare providers, social workers, and family members.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in autism, learning disabilities, dementia care, hospice care, or childcare.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle challenging behaviors with patience and understanding.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable individuals.
- Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable, but not essential.

**Desirable Skills**:

- Understanding of person-centered care practices.
- Experience with specialized care approaches for autism and learning disabilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £11.44-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 48 per week
