Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our incredible team in Limavady.
As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.
From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.
**What we're looking for**:
- Someone who is caring and patient and has a genuine passion for supporting others.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
- Supporting people with their finances (paying bills, doing shopping etc.)
- You will actively be reducing social isolation by supporting to social groups & activities.
- Supporting with Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day. This may include prompting the people we support to take their medication and assisting with bathing, showering and to use the bathroom.
- Using Positive Behaviour Support Strategies to help improve people’s quality of life.
**Contract options**:
- Full-time: 37.5 hrs
- Part-time:
**Shift times**:
**All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 3 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life**
- Days: 8.00am - 8.00pm
- Waking Nights: 8.00pm - 8.00am
