**The Team**

**The Role**:
As an international tax group, our marketing and client targeting is focussed around new developments in tax law that could impact our client base. The UK tax group is looking for an enthusiastic, business development focussed knowledge specialist to lead the group’s strategic, client-focussed knowledge based marketing and business development activities. The central responsibilities of the role would be as follows:

- monitoring and understanding new tax law developments in the UK and internationally;
- designing targeted client marketing and business development initiatives around opportunities that arise from such developments (based on a detailed understanding of the firm’s client base and the capabilities of the firm’s tax group);
- interacting with our US and European tax specialists to take a coordinated, international approach to tax developments with an international impact;
- proactively managing the tax group’s online and social media presence, maximising the group’s client visibility and reputation through tax thought leadership and knowledge based marketing with practical, commercial relevance;
- where appropriate, leading the group’s engagement in tax policy forums and legislative consultations;
- keeping the tax group fully up to date on new tax developments and maintaining regular engagement with the team maximise client targeting opportunities;
- running the group’s training programme, covering not only new tax law developments but also developmental training for junior team members;
- development and maintenance of tax training content in wider firm training programmes to ensure relevant non-tax fee earners have a basic level of relevant tax knowledge and can spot relevant tax issues;
- development of materials to allow the group’s lawyers to deliver client facing training or conference speaking opportunities;
coordinating updates to precedents with the involvement of relevant matter specialists from the team; and
- helping manage our risk management protocols to ensure the quality of our tax advice and the reputation of our tax services.
