**Role**:
**Who You Are**
- You are a dedicated and multi-faceted professional with a focus on children's social care. Strong skills in organisation, negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal relations are required. You should have at least 3 years post-qualifying experience in childcare work including child protection and childcare, alongside experience in a managerial role in children's social work. It is also expected that you have experience of chairing childcare and child protection meetings and have a good understanding of current research in child protection, child care and fostering standards. The understanding and aptitude to work with complex systems, prepare clear, well-written reports, and adhere to strict timescales are crucial. Furthermore, an aptitude for problem-solving, the ability to think clearly under pressure, provide direction in complex situations and provide systematic and determined quality assurance are a must. You will also hold a full driving licence, have a satisfactory level of attendance and be able to obtain satisfactory enhanced criminal record disclosure due to the nature of the role.

**What the Job Involves**
- The core of your role includes acting as a co-ordinator and chairperson for Child Protection Conferences, Child Looked After Reviews, and CIN Meetings. Your responsibility extends to ensuring that all conference and complex child in need minutes meet high standards, ensuring that children and their families can fully contribute to the decision-making process. You will promote the highest possible standards of professional practice and ensure a multi-agency approach to decision making in complex child in need meetings and child protection conferences. You should be prepared to deputise for the Safeguarding Manager and assist in the collation and analysis of data originating from conferences and review materials. Record maintenance and compliance with required administrative procedures are also part of your duties. Further responsibilities include liaising with other professionals and agencies, contributing to and participating in staff training and development programs, and assisting in recruitment, selection and appointment of staff. You are expected to ensure that client data is lawfully gathered, accurate, up-to-date, and only disclosed in accordance with all relevant laws and guidelines.
