**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Prepare and Cook**: Prepare and cook meals and snacks following pre-set menus in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations to ensure meals are nutritious, appetising, and meet dietary needs.
- **Meal Planning**: Assist with planning and menu development to provide variety and balance.
- **Stock Control**: Undertake simple stock control, reporting goods to be ordered to relevant senior staff to ensure adequate supplies are maintained.
- **Kitchen Management**: Keep the kitchen and surrounding areas clean and organized, maintaining equipment to a high standard.
- **Security**: Ensure the security of the kitchen and storerooms is maintained at all times to provide a safe working environment.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with other kitchen and care staff to ensure seamless service.
- **Documentation**: Complete and maintain all necessary food safety and sanitation paperwork.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a cook, ideally in a public-facing setting or care home (though not essential).
- Knowledge of food safety practices, culinary techniques, and familiarity with kitchen equipment.
- Ability to multitask, maintain attention to detail, and work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organisational skills.

**Hours**: 8 am - 2 pm, 3 days a week
**Pay**: £13.00 per hour
