We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Administrator to join our Poole CAMHS team full time. You will not only be part of a team of administrators working in a busy office, you will play a central role in the wider team, providing administrative expertise to the clinical staff. The Poole CAMHS team is a caring and sociable with a strong team ethos.
We are proud to be part of the wider CAMH service in Dorset and all it has achieved in recent years, with its progress and developments being demonstrable. Currently our CAMHS community services are rated Good and our CAMHS inpatient unit is rated as Outstanding.
Nationally CAMHS is under the spotlight; Dorset CAMHS has embraced this attention and has seized the opportunity to appraise how we offer core mental health services to the children, young people and families of Dorset and how we work together with our partner agencies in achieving this to a high standard.
We currently provide the following CAMHS services across Dorset:
- 6 Community CAMHS teams
- 1 Urban CAMHS Gateway team (assessment and brief intervention service) which is looking to expand to offer a pan-Dorset service
- 10 Bed adolescent inpatient unit
- Dedicated CAMHS psychiatric liaison services within 3 acute hospitals
- Out of Hours crisis service
- Discovery College
- Peer specialists working within our community and inpatient teams
You will work as part of our Administration Team to schedule appointments, manage telephone calls, create and format letters, minuting meetings, and maintain up to date records.
You will be the first point of call on the telephone, liaising with patients, staff, relatives, GPs and other services. This is a fast paced and rewarding service to work within and you will help us ensure its effective and smooth running.
We have been able to identify areas for improvement and highlight areas of outstanding practice through this process. We continue to work hard on refining and developing the service to better meet the needs of our young people and their families and are looking for innovative and enthusiastic staff to join the evolution of Dorset CAMHS
Dorset Healthcare is also responsible for a range of other specialist Children's Services across Dorset, including Forensic CAMHS, Eating Disorder Services, Intellectual Disability Services, and Early Intervention in Psychosis.
We are also working closely with our local commissioners to develop new and innovative services including a CAMHS retreat to support the emotional health and wellbeing of young people across Dorset.
Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
At Dorset HealthCare we’re on a mission to empower people to make the most of their lives through our outstanding, joined-up healthcare services. We’re a dynamic, forward-looking Trust, running 12 community hospitals, specialist inpatient facilities and a wide range of integrated community and mental health services for a population of almost 800,000 people.
We do things differently here - it’s one of the reasons the CQC rated us ‘outstanding’ in 2019. It’s also why 95% of patients across our services say they have a good or very good experience of our services and 89% of staff feel they can really make a difference. Whether you’re looking to work with us in one of our bustling market towns, vibrant urban locations, thriving seaside spots, or among the rolling hills of Dorset, there are lots of ways you can make a difference in our communities.
Our 7,000-strong workforce is at the heart of what we do and our success is a testament to our brilliant people. We're all about building a workplace for the future, we believe in equal opportunities and we celebrate diversity. We’re an inclusive workplace, where everyone is welcome, everyone can be authentic, and we are all encouraged to be the best version of ourselves.
Working with us you’ll be part of a strong team, challenge yourself, build a career, and teach us what we don’t know. And you’ll be working towards our vision to be better every day through excellence, compassion and expertise in all we do.
