Your role will be to support delivery of the Trust’s Education and Workforce Development strategy and workforce plans through the development of high quality student and work based learning placements and a range of career pathways to attract and retain our current and future workforce supply.

We need you to
- To have experience developing and presenting education programmes.
- To be a qualified coach with good knowledge of best coaching practice.
- Demonstrate understanding of the Apprenticeship levy and its implications for learning & development and workforce planning
- Have up to date knowledge of current NHS issues, initiatives and their impact on OD & Engagement.
- Have the ability to establish a culture of continuous improvement, initiating ideas, responding to change opportunities.

We are open to job share and flexible working options to combine the role with remote working and on site presence of 2-3 days per week

You will
- Hold a key management position responsible for providing expert professional and educational knowledge, as well as leadership of a wide-ranging and complex portfolio of education activities.
- Manage the apprenticeship offer within the Trust and lead a team of Practice Educators to provide high-quality and up-to-date education and training to our workforce enabling the delivery of Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust’s (SFT) vision of ‘an outstanding experience for every patient’.
- Be required to interpret overall health service policy
- Lead the design and implementation of SFT strategies to meet standards set by the Institute for Apprenticeships, Nursing and Midwifery Council, the Health and Care Professions Council and other professional and quality assurance agencies.
- Be required to make judgements on learning and professional education that impact on the trusts overall performance and delivery of Healthcare including the development of curricula for specific courses and the financial appraisal of new and existing education courses.
