The Opportunity
Working closely with the Managing Director you will assume the number one role in finance and be responsible for leading a small finance team. You will be involved in the strategic direction of the business as well as managing process improvements as the businesscontinues to scale. This is a real hands-on growth journey with the potential to be a real career defining role.
The Job
Leading a small finance function duties will include
- Strategic and commercial development of all finance functions.
- Helping structure invoice finance, raise funds and improve process and procedure.
- Control of costings and stock.
- Business planning for growth.
- Hedging strategy and FX.
- Raw materials and supplier relationships.
- Project manage a strong order book.
- Oversee transactional accounting functions.
- Recruit, train and develop staff and structure the team as you see fit.
About You
You will be a qualified accountant with experience in the manufacturing SME space. Exposure to international markets would be seen as an advantage, as would strong IT skills and knowledge of Sage. This role is a true right hand person to the Managing Directorand as such you will be involved in all areas of the business not just the numbers alone.
