Kitchen Assistant

**Overview**
OPEN TO ANYONE AGE 16+

**Duties**
- Assist in meal preparation and food preparation tasks, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
- Support chefs with cooking tasks, including chopping, mixing, and cooking ingredients as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Help with catering events by preparing and serving food items as required.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly after use.
- Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the head chef.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant is preferred but not essential.
- A basic understanding of food safety regulations and practices is an advantage.
- Experience in catering or meal preparation will be considered beneficial.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen setting.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn from experienced chefs.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £7.80-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15.5 per week
