**Who you are**
You have a scientific background and have completed a first or advanced degree in a relevant discipline - and you’ll have done pretty well
You love turning your hand to a wide range of tasks and your consultancy toolbox is full: analytical mind, problem solver, evidence seeker, team player, customer focus, working to deadlines, rigorous, and attentive to detail.
You are keen to start learning about and contributing to patient-focused research projects, within our Patient-Centered Outcomes team. You want to learn and develop your skills and knowledge by getting stuck in to a wide range of tasks and by getting friendly support from more experienced team members.
You think it would be exciting to work on a diverse range of projects for life science clients, developing innovative products to improve patients’ and caregivers' lives. You are interested in understanding patient experience, preferences, and beliefs through immersing yourself in published literature or speaking with patients, caregivers and clinicians.
**What you’ll do**
You’ll support the design and delivery of all aspects of our quantitative and qualitative patient, caregiver, and clinician research studies to a tip-top standard. And you’ll contribute to project management, ensuring smooth, relentless progress and happy clients
Part of your role will include conducting efficient and rigorous desktop research, including evidence of disease burden and suitable COA/PRO instruments for studies.
Added to that, you’ll be involved with literature reviews, including development of search strategies, abstract review, article selection, and data extraction.
As you develop in the role, you’ll start to conduct interviews and focus groups with patients, caregivers, and clinicians, either independently or with supervision, and analyze qualitative data.
You’ll also help develop project documents including protocols, ethics submissions, and project reports, and you’ll draft abstracts, posters, and manuscripts for publications as well as assist with the submission process.
**Sorry, but it’s a no unless you have**
Experience of primary data collection studies (including patient and/or caregiver research studies) is essential for this role.
You’ll have a BA/BSc in science (all considered except sports and domestic), economics, mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline.
You will be fluent in English (spoken and written), with strong business/scientific written English.
And, finally, we’re looking for fantastic time management and personal organizational skills, as well as mastery of the Microsoft Office suite and internet search tools.
**Bonus points for**
A postgraduate qualification in psychology, health economics, health services research, or a relevant related area would be especially useful in this role.
And if you’ve got qualitative research experience (e.g., interview skills, qualitative data analysis), as well as literature review experience, well you’ve got our attention
