Video Content Editor

Are you a magician at bringing content to life through your editing and post production skills?

In this role, you’ll support the award winning content team, who operate like an internal agency, making things that entertain and inform the global fraud fighting community.

You’ll join the Content x Creative team, made up of creatives, writers, strategists and other awesome types who just love to make stuff. As SEON grows, you’ll be essential in making sure project work flow is smooth, from script to post production.
- SEON is looking for an Editor to work across a range of video content
- The person will be able to work quickly while maintaining the quality of their creative editing
- They will be the guardian of edit styles for SEON
- Will be a self starter with strong editorial sense, but also happy to take and react to notes from the Creative Director and the Head of Content
- Maintain a close working relationship with the Design team in the creation of animation and design assets
- Working experience of outputs such as codecs, framerates and aspect ratios and how they can be employed across different channels
- Organizing the archiving and storing of rushes, assets and final deliverables.
- Experience in the Adobe Suite of apps, especially Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop
- The ability to speak honestly about the post production realities before, during and after production
- An eye for post production scheduling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working with the Content Line Producer/ Production Manager to make sure that the archive of shoot materials and finished films is maintained.
- A passion for storytelling first approaches

**What you’ll do**:

- Be part of a vibrant team, always looking for stories, innovative ways to create and new processes in the making of our content
- Help build a new post production workflow, from receiving assets to final deliverables
- Be the post production knowledge within the team
- Create realistic timelines that help us get from production to release
- Be happy sometimes leading the edit creatively, while other times taking stronger guidance from the Creative Director or freelance directors
- Redesign the archiving process and be happy to respond quickly to requests for amendments and recuts on older projects.
- Feed into the production process with ideas and thoughts that can either boost creativity or save time and budget

**What you bring**:

- Proven experience as a content editor, video editor or related job title
- Experience in the fast turnaround world of YouTube content delivery
- Extraordinary communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of working with the Adobe suite of products, especially Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop
- The ability to look beyond an edit sequence to see the story at the heart of what you are working on
- An attitude that screams ‘how do we do this’ rather than ‘this can’t be done’
