**Production Operator - Grinding & Machining**

**What you will enjoy doing**
- Working within a busy, fast-paced production environment, we are seeking a skilled Grinder/Turner who will be responsible for machining components in accordance with manufacturing instructions and drawings. The role will be responsible for strict adherence to internal specifications and procedures
- Setting and operating conventional and CNC machines is a critical aspect of this role but it will also involve flexibility to work in other areas of the plant
- You will carry out dimensional checks using defined metrology equipment as well as ensuing all equipment is used correctly and in satisfactory working condition, ensuring timely reporting of any faults
- Further the finishing of components post coating is part of this role
- You will be in charge for cleaning and maintaining work area and equipment

**What makes you great**
- You will have ideally completed an apprenticeship in a tool making/machining discipline (or equivalent experience) and/or will have a good knowledge and understanding of machine shop practices
- You will be able to understand and interpret engineering drawings, and you are able to use appropriate measuring equipment related to specific drawing requirements
- Ideally you will have experience in cylindrical, centerless and surface grinding to tight tolerances. Experience in aerospace or other safety critical industries would be an advantage
- You have machining operations experience or Manufacturing experience
