**COMPLIANCE ANALYST**

**Role Overview**

We are looking for a Compliance Analyst to join our Risk, Compliance & Legal Services team in Birmingham or Glasgow. The Compliance Analyst will provide proactive and professional administrative and compliance services to the firm, specifically in relationto the taking on by the firm of new business. As a member of the team your role will be to assist in carrying out AML checks and conflict searching of new clients and new matters for existing clients for all offices, including overseas offices.

**Main duties and responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following**:

- Carrying out money laundering checks to ensure that the firm complies with its obligations under anti
- money laundering (AML) legislation and the firm's AML policy and liaising with the firm's AML compliance supervisor and/or Money Laundering ReportingOfficer.
- Carrying out stand-alone conflict searches for file opening purposes, pitches and bids.
- Analysing conflict search results.
- Clearing conflicts as per conflict clearance guidance (when authorised to do so).
- Dealing with enquiries from fee earners, secretaries and other support staff.
- Liaising with Conflict Duty Managers and Conflicts Investigation Team.
- Building a good rapport with fee earners and secretaries.
- Building an understanding of the firm's client base and matter.
- Reporting to the Conflict Duty Manager.
- Shift pattern to be worked on a rota basis to be agreed but the shifts to cover the core hours working hours of PM's offices.

**Shift pattern to be worked on a rota basis**:
Weekdays - Monday to Friday

07:30 - 15:30, 09:00 - 17:00, 09:30 - 17:30, *12:00 - 20:00, Sunday shift

**09:30 - 14:30 or **10:00 - 14:30, Bank Holiday

**09:00 - 17:00, 09:30 - 17:30 as appropriate depending on office, Early, late and Sunday shift expected to be worked on a rota basis

(*an extra shift allowance is paid when working 12:00 - 20:00 shift)

(**paid double time when working a Sunday shift and a UK bank holiday)
