**Role Purpose**

To unload, receive and log all goods coming into the warehouse. To organise their unit storage appropriately, efficiently and safely. To locate goods for delivery and load up the delivery vehicles for dispatch. Inspection of goods and vehicles to company standard.

- **Key Role Activities**

- Taking delivery of goods and supplies
- Weighing, taking dimensions of all goods to be shipped
- Ensuring all paperwork is correct and clear on details for who/ where to ship to
- Discharging ship as/when required
- Sorting fridges/reefers for Alderney
- Checking for damaged or missing items; ensuring PODs are signed appropriately

(advising of damage/ missing items at point of receipt)
- Storing goods (in an organised, effective and efficient manner)
- Moving stock around by hand, using lifting gear or a forklift truck
- Picking and packing orders
- Planning deliveries
- Loading goods for dispatch (some jobs include making the deliveries with drivers)
- Stock-keeping
- Keeping paperwork up to date
- Liaising with customers to book delivery times
- Liasing with office to handle customer queries/ bookings
- Maintaining a clean and professional warehouse
- Identify any opportunities when with customers for increasing business and feedback to

**Qualifications**
