**Associate Director Large Corporate Lending**

As a Barclays Associate Director Large Corporate Lending, you will be assisting Structuring/Large Corporate Relationship Directors and product partners in the origination, structuring, lending, and execution of UK mid-large or Complex Corporate syndicated loan/debt finance deals in excess of £10m, within a competitive marketplace. You will also focus on provisioning with high-quality credit analysis, report writing for in scope transactions and producing financial analysis, financial modelling, to support business opportunities.

**What will you be doing?**
- Providing high-quality, balanced credit analysis, financial modelling, and credit report writing within risk appetite to obtain credit approval from credit sanctioners/credit committees
- Supporting structuring large corporate relationship directors/VP’s, product partners in the origination, structuring and execution of UK mid-large market debt finance deals
- Participating in Debt origination and structuring activity with clients and Key Business Introducers (KBIs) seeking and generating ideas for new business/opportunities
- Producing financial analysis, financial modelling, and suitable sensitivity analysis to support business opportunities
- Working alongside the Coverage teams or in support of Structuring Directors/VPs on material transactions for clients, understanding client needs and contributing to proposed solutions
- Gathering the right level of financial information from the client to generate and understand the key financial ratios, supporting construction of forecast financial models/ lending decision
- Attending site visits/client meetings as required, to ensure thorough understanding of company and lending proposition
- Helping the team, working closely with Structuring Directors/VPs and Relationship Director to proactively identify potential debt opportunities and assist in preparing pitching materials

**What we’re looking for**:

- Proven corporate credit risk analysis experience and lending to medium/large corporates, with debt structuring analytical and excellent numeracy skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines in a pressured environment with good relationship management skills
- Awareness of the different sources of corporate funding and macro-economic factors affecting debt markets
- Expertise of deal structuring and judgement of the credit profile in relation to sector appetite and to influencing debt structures

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Good knowledge of Standards, Policies, and Procedures and an awareness of Legislation affecting the Banking Industry
- Higher education degree or suitable professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, AMCT, CFA)
- Lending experience within a financial institution
