Sky News is looking for a best-in-class Visual Investigations Producer to join our pioneering Data & Forensics team. You’ll have the skills and experience to produce award-winning content for TV and digital platforms. You’ll have a brilliant eye for stories, and a deep understanding of how to tell them in original and impactful ways. You’ll instinctively know how to engage audiences across different platforms and you’ll collaborate with editorial and creative leaders across the newsroom, inspiring your colleagues to new heights.

The Data and Forensics team is a multi-skilled unit dedicated to providing transparent journalism from Sky News. We gather, analyse and visualise data to tell data-driven stories. We combine traditional reporting skills with advanced analysis of satellite images, social media and other open-source information. Through multimedia storytelling we aim to better explain the world while also showing how our journalism is done.

What you'll do:

- Produce high-quality, high-impact journalism across all Sky News platforms.
- Use innovative story-telling techniques involving video, graphics, UGC, text, maps, satellite imagery, social media, annotation, audio, data and more to bring Sky’s journalism to life.
- Devise, develop and deliver original stories.
- Produce fast-turnaround pieces that provide insight, context and verification around ongoing stories.
- Run long-term investigative projects, in collaboration with other teams in Sky News.
- Work with correspondents and producers from the across the newsroom, as well as with external contributors.

What you'll bring:

- Several years’ experience as a senior journalist in a front-line creative role at an internationally-renowned newsroom
- Extensive and proven experience of first-rate digital story production
- Extensive and proven experience of first-rate video production
- Understanding of latest open-source investigation techniques
- Story ideas with national and international impact
- Natural leadership, strong influencing skills and an instinct for collaboration
