We are looking for Patient Services Advisors to join us in our practice based in the vibrant Brighton centre. This would be on a permanent or bank basis, giving you the flexibility to choose shifts falling between 8:00am - 8:00pm, 7 days a week.

**About The Role**

You would be the **first point of contact** for all patients at the practice. This would include **booking appointments** using the system, **greeting patients **on arrival and notifying the appropriate clinician. While in the waiting room, the patients **would be in your care,** and so you would need to observe them and notify the appropriate staff should they need immediate health requirements.

As you would be manning the reception desk, you would be ensuring it and the surrounding area is tidy and above all safe. You would be accurately keeping records and completing clerical duties such as filing, photocopying and faxing. You will also be processing repeat prescriptions where necessary.

As well as patients, you will be contributing regularly to the wider team, not only in **staff meetings** but also in supporting the **Deputy Service Manager** in public relations.

**About You**

While you may not have worked in a general practice before, you will be a confident communicator who is able to speak to others in person and over the phone. You will be in contact with a wide range of people in different situations and from different backgrounds. As such, your empathy and sensitivity towards patients and private information is vital.

You will be able to manage your own workload without close supervision, being an efficient organiser. In line with this, you will also have experience in data input, ensuring all information is accurate on the EMIS & Adastra systems.
