We are recruiting for a **Procurement Assistant**.
**LOCATION**
Infleqtion has 6 office locations, operating out of Austin, TX; Boulder/Louisville, CO; Madison, WI; Chicago, IL; Oxford, UK; and Melbourne, AU. This position is a full-time, hybrid position which will be located in our **Oxford, United Kingdom** office.
**JOB SUMMARY**
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
The duties and responsibilities outlined below include essential functions of the role. Depending on business needs, this role may perform a combination of some or all of the following duties. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
- Manage purchase orders (hardware and software) from placing with suppliers until final delivery
- Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)
- Conduct market research to identify pricing trends
- Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices
- Prepare cost analyses
- Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts
- Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
- Liaise with end users to ensure correct equipment order specifications
- Approve supplier purchase invoices on a daily/ weekly basis and code invoices for posting to nominal ledger
- Ensure best value pricing achieved from multiple suppliers
- Manage warranty renewals
- Receive stock from couriers and any equipment returns to suppliers
- Follow-up supplier queries
**Requirements**:
- BSc in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field
- Work experience as a Purchasing Assistant, Purchasing Officer or similar role
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 products including Word, Excel and Teams
- Knowledge of market research
- Well organised and able to work to deadlines
- High numerical literacy with good attention to detail
- Great team player who’s willing to go above and beyond to support customers and colleagues
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exceptional customer service skills
