Apollo Home Healthcare are currently recruiting Healthcare Assistants to join our new team in Newcastle Upon Tyne who have a genuine interest in working with children and would like to work in role where you are making a difference to their day-to-day life.

**Meet our service user**

Our service user is a young girl who lives at home with her loving family in Newcastle upon Tyne and requires support throughout the day on a 1:1 basis.

She is generally a happy and cheerful girl who loves spending quality time with her family, friends, and care team.

Your role throughout the day will include being vigilant, making close observations, attending to her clinical, personal care needs, and Moving and Handling requirements and assist her to enjoy her hobbies and interests.

Our service user is none verbal and communicates through eye gaze, it is important to become familiar with her methods of communication to ensure her needs and wishes are met, and social interaction is promoted.

**Essential Experience Required**
- 3 months previous care experience
- Personal Care
- Moving and Handling
- Medication Administration

**Desirable Experience**
- Tracheostomy care
- PEG Feeding
- Ventilation Care
- Gastrostomy care

**We have the following shifts available;**
- Part Time Days
- 2 Shifts Per Week
- 8am - 5:30pm

**Take a look at our pay rates**

Weekdays: £13.00 per hour Approx. £117 per 9-hour shift

Weeknights: £13.50 per hour Approx. £148.50 per 9-hour shift

Weekends: £14.00 per hour Approx. £126 per 9-hour shift

Bank Holiday £16.00 per hour Approx. £144 per 9-hour shift
