**Job Title**:Quality Inspector

**Job Type**: Full-time, Permanent

**Hours**: Monday to Friday - 8:30 to 5pm, early finish on Friday (08:30-13:00)

**Salary**: Up to £21,000.00 per annum,40h per week.

**Holiday Entitlement**: 28 days per year

**About company**:
Our client FMCG packing company, based in North Petherton Bridgwater, have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Inspector. We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable individual to join the Quality team.

**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Quality Manager the purpose of this role is to assist and support production departments in maintaining the high standards of quality required and actively promote the food safety culture.

Main Duties
- Conduct start up checks at beginning of packing run and complete QC checks throughout the packing run.
- Check paperwork / documentation used in packing is correct and is completed accurately
- Ensure compliance with average weight legislation
- Carry out training and support for packing team on Quality matters
- Ensure finished packed products are to agreed standards and that the correct sampling has been completed
- Ensure that health, safety, and hygiene procedures are met and that the factory is a safe, clean, and tidy environment.
- Ensure HACCP principles are followed and CCPs adhered to, in order to produce fit for purpose, safe products
- Assist with internal and third-party audits.
- Assist with compliance of Food Safety and Quality Management System to BRCGS standard.
- Undertake sampling and checking new deliveries of raw ingredients to ensure compliance to specification

- Pay attention to details and able to complete tasks on time and as briefed
- Be able to prioritise work commitments that assist towards achieving results
- Be curious and always looking to improve products/processes to drive customer satisfaction
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate good IT Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Food safety / Quality Management systems would be an advantage
