**Atalian Servest is currently recruiting for a Cleaning Area Manager to join our passionate and driven team in the central region, based out of York**

Reporting to the Head of Operations Manager, this role will oversee the management of all aspects of the LNER fleet and station cleaning contract within your region. We are looking for a talented manager to be accountable for the performance of the LNERcontract in your region, this includes ensuring Managers, the team services are performing effectively, and in line with contractual obligations.

**Your primary responsibilities will include**:

- Develop a collaborative relationship with the Contract Director, Head of Operations, Other Cleaning Area Managers, Senior H&S Manager and HR Manager who are empowered to deliver effective and responsive services through devolved authority, accountability,and control.
- Managing staff rotas, holiday requests, site audits and all elements of the People Management delivery within your region.
- You will maintain and deliver the standard for safety, quality, time and cost control.
- Monitor and be accountable for the regional goals to improve on service delivery and operational performance, developing shared goals with stakeholders and internal teams to grow the relationship
- You will come into regular contact with customers/ the clients so it is important that you can assist them if needed and that you can communicate at all levels.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, the LNER contract management team, the Regional operations delivery team, as well as with 3rd party service providers to deliver effective services to LNER.
- You will lead change across the contract region and, collaborate with stakeholders and staff across the LNER contract to ensure buy in to adapt to new ways of working.

**About You & Experience**:

- Previous experience as a Cleaning Manager or Area Manager is essential.
- Experience in staffing, rotas, training, people management and HR compliance.
- Create a positive performance culture by setting standards, objectives and targets for the team in line with your regions strategy, and leading by example.
- Ensure through effective one to ones & team appraisals, developments plans are constructed and implemented.
- Provide accurate reporting capability to key stakeholders
- Excellent customer service skills & methodical attention to detail.
- You will be able to work to deadlines and prioritise as well as being flexible with working hours and days.
