We have a new opportunity in the Nutrition and Dietetic Service for an enthusiastic support worker who is keen to develop their skills in delivering nutrition care to patients.
The Dietetic Support Worker will play an important role, working alongside the Prescribing Support Dietitian to optimise clinical outcomes and the quality of patient care, whilst promoting the appropriate prescribing of nutritional products in Primary Care.
You will be based in Neath Port Talbot Hospital as part of the Medicines Management team, but will be required to work in other locations across the Health Board on a regular basis (including G.P. practices). This is a permanent part-time role, working 25 hours per week.
The core responsibilities of the role will include; clinical assessment and delivery of dietetic care plans (adults), administrative duties and the monitoring and evaluation of prescribing data. The post holder will be supported by the Prescribing Support Dietitian and other members of the Medicines Management team.
Experience of caring for patients and knowledge of nutrition are essential. We are looking for someone with experience of IT systems as well as numeracy/data management skills.
We offer departmental CPD and dedicated time to support education and development, including teaching and presentation skills, evidenced based practice, research and clinical audit. You will be supported in attending relevant networking meetings and clinical focus groups.
