Service Advisor, Peterborough

We are looking for Service Advisors to join our team in Peterborough to work on a part time rota. As a Service Advisor you will become part a compassionate, driven team of clinical and non-clinical staff members all working to make a real difference to our patients in the local health economy.

**Job role**:
Our Service Advisors assist with the smooth running of the IUC Contact Centres, delivering an efficient and competent level of accurate call handling for both patients and healthcare professionals. In this role you will signpost callers to the most appropriate service for them along with performing a welfare check on patients who are waiting for the GP Out of hour’s service to contact them. The IUC Service Advisor also undertake various administrative duties as advised by the Shift Manager.

As a Service Advisor you will bethe first point of contact for calls into NHS 111 for patients that do not require a full assessment and:

- Asses patient needs supported by local policies and direct patients to the most appropriate service.
- Receive calls from a variety of Healthcare Professionals, and log the call accurately onto the system
- Handle calls from patients who are chasing a call back from the 111 service, and check that their symptoms have not worsened
- Deal with medication and prescription requests from patients
- Support the IUC Contact Centre by comfort calling patients which are likely to breach.
- Re direct any NHS 111 calls received which are not for our service to the appropriate 111 providers

- Experience of working under pressure in a busy environment
- Attention to detail and accurate data entry
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to be empathetic and a good listener
- The skill to manage sensitive and emotional calls from a range of sources
