**HGV Mechanic**:
**An exciting opportunity has risen in our expanding business for a professional, motivated individual with a positive attitude to join our Workshop Department to contribute towards the day to day maintenance, inspections, repairs and servicing of our ever growing fleet.**
**The role is diverse with responsibilities ranging from**:
- **Carrying out Safety and MOT inspections, all going towards maintaining our prestigious fleet,**
- **Investigating any faults and repair defects to ensure all lorries and trailers are road worthy,**
- **Completing accurate job cards, ensuring work is compliant at all times,**
- **Helping the Fleet Manager with all Maintenance related duties,**
- **Liaising with drivers in relation to breakdowns and defects**
- **Adhering to Stewart International’s Health and Safety Practices.**

**About the Applicant**:
- **Desirable Skills;**_
- LGV Class 1 Licence,
- Familiar with computer diagnostic technology,
- **Essential Skills**_
- NVQ Level 3 HGV Mechanic Qualification
- HGV Mechanic Experience, minimum 2 years,
- An interest / knowledge in the Transport Sector,
- Competent written and excellent verbal communication skills,
- Organisational skills, including; Good time keeping and prioritizing tasks,
- High attention to detail, professional & approachable,
- Can work as part of a team as well as using their own initiative
- positive can do attitude,
- Can work under pressure to meet deadlines for the business, customers and drivers
- Willing to adapt to changing situations.
Hours of work are 8am - 6pm, Monday to Friday and Saturdays as required.
