**About the role**
**Senior Content Designer**
You’ll mainly be involved at the start of a project, working with clients to understand their requirements, auditing content, and using evidence and insights from research to inform deliverables such as Information Architecture and feeding into wireframecreation with ideas on UX writing.
You’ll be able to zoom into the detail of the content but also zoom out on a bigger scale to ask the strategic questions to clients around substance, structure, workflow and governance. Ideally you have experience in creating a content strategy and understandingrequirements of content editors and marketing teams.
We work with a wide range of clients, with a specialism in the charity and not-for-profit sectors. We also work with public sector organisations including the NHS, government and local authorities as well as commercial clients.
**Responsibilities**
- Comfortable referring to or writing user needs
- Comfortable talking to clients about strategic goals in relation to ongoing content management, content standards and workflow requirements
- Must be able to understand and digest user research and what it means for content
- Confident in conducting content audits or supporting clients who are completing content audits
- Produce Information Architecture using insights from research and audits
- Advocate and promote content-led approach to stakeholders
- Good understanding of best practice when it comes to Plain English
- A solid team player, working with designers and developers to produce products informed by content
**Optional**
- Content creation for a wide range of users
- Good understanding of object-oriented UX/atomic design
**Experience - Ideally you will have the following skills or experience**:
- Relevant experience working in UX and/or content design (5+ years)
- Understand design thinking practices and approach
- Experience in creating a content strategy
- Agile working practices
- Managing the feedback process
- Versatile content creator
- Liaising with stakeholders and building relationships with editorial teams
