Procurement Surveyor

Dundas Building Company have an opportunity within its expanding Commercial Team for a Procurement Surveyor.
The business currently operates 11nr sites incorporating a wide variety of developments from executive properties, apartment blocks, a range of 3-5 bedroom family accommodation and some affordable housing units throughout the central belt.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Procurement of sub-contractors for new sites including issue of tender enquiry, reviewing quotes and offering sub-contractor for internal sign off.
- Procurement of labour plant and materials across all Dundas construction projects.
- Maintain material supplier cost database.
- Build and maintain strong supplier and sub-contractor relationships.
- Support project delivery through effective supply chain management.
- Negotiate commercial terms and manage supplier performance.
- Maintain our House & Flat construction cost database.
- Work with Commercial/Technical Department in reviewing and costing future building regulation changes.
- Work with the Commercial/Land team in the preparation appraisals for future sites.
- Contributing to the efficient running of the Commercial Team.
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- RICS or equivalent surveying qualification preferred.
- Experience of Flatted Developments.
- Experience in Social housing again would be advantage but not essential.
- 3 to 5 years post qualification experience in private residential house building an advantage though not essential.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate to both site and office-based personnel.
- A proactive individual with the ability to drive deadlines, has good attention to detail and works accurately and effectively under pressure.
- Good IT skills in Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel.
- Capable of acting on their own initiative whilst working effectively within a team environment
**GENERAL INFORMATION**
- Member of the Commercial Department comprising Commercial Manager, 2 x Quantity Surveyors, 1 x Trainee Quantity Surveyor and 1 x Procurement Administrator.
- Based at head office in Livingston with development sites in central Scotland
- To be flexible in terms of work content and time pressures to deliver relevant information to Directors
**Salary would be agreed depending on experience**
**Working Hours**
Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm
