Come and join usWe are looking for a **Yard Operative** to join our team in Thetford.
- This post is working **DAYS**:

- The hours of work and shift patterns are: **4 on 4 off Days 06:00 - 18:00**:

- **The rate of pay is: £12.30ph**:

- Equipment control;
- Loading/Unloading equipment from trailers with counterbalance;
- Supplying Packing department with needed equipment;
- Looking after yard environment;
- Maintain H&S rules, raise any concerns with management;
- Securely shrink-wrapping items before dispatching;
- Operating handling equipment according to H&S regulations;
- Vehicle loading/unloading manually/with manual pump truck/powered pallet truck;
- Health and safety issue reporting. You are accountable for maintain equipment and not abusing equipment.

You will also be very flexible, the role may need to be cross functional with Intake when needed, but only when full training provided.
- Counterbalance license
- Basic English language or willing to learn
- Basic math knowledge
- Basic H&S Training
- Basic Food safety training
- Ability to lift crates that can weigh max. 20kg
- Problem solving

The role will work in close partnership with the production team - supplying equipment;
Carrying out FLT safety and maintenance checks;
Ensuring the yard is organised and safe.
