**Key Objectives**

The Planner is responsible to the Planning Lead for all the planning preparation activities and Work Pack compilation associated with routine maintenance work, to be delivered either by the Contractor or 3rd Party Sub-Contractors.

**Main Activities**

The Planner Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Gate keep Client originated work requests prior to planning
- Responsible for scoping work activities within the Field Planners range of experience and engaging with the Client’s Engineering Team when the work goes beyond this competency
- Construction of a comprehensive Work Pack for the Execution Team that meets the needs of the Client and incorporate all the requisite Safe Systems of Work (SSoW)
- Execute the Field Planner role iaw the Client’s workflow management process - OMS 431
- Utilise the Client’s CMMS (SAP) for the electronic construction of all Work Orders
- Task List plan all work in SAP
- Use Client approved Norms, DACE or other, for estimating, where available
- Complete a comprehensive estimate document as part of the Work Pack build
- Select work to plan based on the Client’s priorities, if self-directed, or from direction of the Maintenance Manager/Planning Engineer
- Sole responsibility for a Work Order during the planning element of Workflow
- Conduct Site visits for the purpose of job stepping
- Liaise with the key stakeholders during the construction of the Task List / PMO - Engineering, Task Owner, Ops (OSS), 3rd Party Contractors, Material Suppliers
- Have the ability to campaign plan when working to SAP Revision Codes
- Prepare “Early Warnings” and advise the Area Lead and Maintenance Manager of any significant delays during the planning phase
- Use SAP Hold Codes to identify pauses in Workflow
- Use SAP Tasks for the gathering of information/specifications from the Client
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) for the work-pack and raise requisitions for plant, consumables, materials within Altrad scope

**Qualifications & Experience**

**Essential**
- Qualified to Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) NVQ Level 3
- Safety Passport (CCNSG/EMMS or industry equivalent)
- Safety qualification - eg, IOSH Managing Safely Cert
- IT Training - Microsoft / Maximo / IPLan

**Desirable**
- Experience of work within the Process, Oil & Gas, Plant or Power Generation industries
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a supervisory/self-directed role.
- Experience with Energy plant including maintenance delivery.
- Proactive and flexible work approach.
- Worked within performance contracts before.
- IT use (Microsoft Office package) and MAXIMO
