The Planned Care Division is looking for a highly motivated service coordinator for the Plastic Service Department. In your role you will be supporting the day-to-day operational management of a surgical service.

This role comes at a time of positive change within the operational divisions, with the restructure of our newly formed Planned Care and Unplanned care divisions.

You will line manage Admin & Clerical staff within the service, plan and operationalise elective surgery, outpatients and diagnostic procedures in line with clinical staff job plans.

Participate in the inputting of demand and capacity modelling for the service in conjunction with the Service Manager to support performance sustainability for RTT, DM01 and Cancer wait times.

You will work collaboratively with clinicians to draft patient experience responses.

Provide support to the Clinical Director, Service Manager and Lead Nurse with our quality and safety agenda, to achieve an 'Excellence' status for your service are.

The post-holder will support the Service Manager in the management of all aspects of Clinical Group services and performance management. They will be directly responsible for the management and co-ordination of secretarial and clerical staff within a defined area.

They will also be jointly responsible with external teams, e.g. Access/Waiting List Managers for robust communication and effective management of access issues.

To work unsupervised and act independently to manage own workload, referring to Service Manager when necessary.

To innovate more effective systems to benefit the department and the Trust.

To deputise for the Service Manager as required.
