Global Brand Marketing Intern
**Clarks has been defining retail fashion for almost 200 years. Just because our brand has an amazing history, though, doesn’t mean we’re not looking to the future. In fact, we’re responding to it right now by transforming the way we work. That’s why now is such an exciting time to join us as a Global Marketing Intern. Opportunities to see the inner workings of a world-leading brand don’t come much better.**
**Hybrid (1 to 3 days in Street HQ, Somerset per week)**
**Full-time (10-month fixed term contract - October to July)**
**The role**
Rotating through various functions within the department will give you a comprehensive understanding of how marketing is done here. You won’t just be watching though—you’ll be learning by doing. Learning new skills as you go and putting them to the test straight away. Don’t worry, though, you’ll always have one of our experts there to help you.
The mentorship you’ll receive is all about preparing you for a career in Marketing at a global level. Whether you’re supporting the delivery of seasonal plans or global brand strategy, you’ll come out with real experience to your name and a whole load of skills tested in real life scenarios. Content creation, sample coordination, social media, consumer insight —you’ll learn how it all fits together to build the Clarks brand.
Working collaboratively with both the Marketing and Insight teams, you’ll also develop professional skills like teamwork, communication and problem solving. Think of the confidence you’ll feel knowing that you can perform and make a real contribution at a global company. You never know, you might just bag yourself a future career.
**About you**
You’ll be a student on a Marketing-related degree who needs to spend some time in industry to fulfil your course criteria. Two years into your studies, you’ll come to us with some knowledge of what’s in store but, most importantly, you’ll have a real passion to learn more. You’ll also have good IT skills and be able to adapt quickly to new systems.
Or you may have just left college or university and looking for hands on experience with a global brand that will boost your future career prospects.
To fit in and make the best of this experience, you’ll have an agile can-do attitude and hands-on approach to learning. We’re looking for someone who is itching to get involved in everything they see here and has their own ideas they can’t wait to share. Demonstrate those qualities and you’ll be off to a flying start in your career.
As this is a hands-on role, you’ll need to be mobile with access to a car, visiting both our Head Office in Street and our photography studio on the outskirts of Bath.
**About Clarks**
Clarks, based in Somerset, England, has been at the forefront of innovative shoemaking since its foundation in 1825, when brothers James and Cyrus Clark made a slipper from sheepskin off-cuts. Sparking revolutions and defining generations, Clarks’ archive of over 22,000 pairs includes the inimitable Desert Boot and Wallabee - and a ground-breaking combination of invention and craftsmanship remains at the heart of what the brand does now. Cutting-edge collaborations with cultural icons and KOLs, taking strides in social change, reimagining legendary silhouettes, and making shoes that move with the world ahead - Clarks is never standing still.
**We love hearing from great people**
- As a global employer, Clarks is committed to embracing diversity throughout our workforce by creating an inclusive environment that reflects the many cultures and locations where we work.
