Second Cook

**Duties**
- Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards
- Assist with food presentation to ensure dishes are visually appealing
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
- Support team members during busy service periods to ensure smooth operation
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to uphold hygiene standards
- Assist with meal preparation for special events

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a care home environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new techniques
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings

You will be working to a 2 week rota which includes alternative weekends.
